2-Stroke Pre-Season Service

  • Replace spark plugs
  • Replace chaincase fluid
  • Compression test (MAG / PTO)
  • Adjust drive chain
  • Clean power valve(s) – if recommended
  • Adjust & lubricate reverse linkage
  • Check & lubricate recoil rope
  • Check clutch operation; clean & scuff clutches
  • Adjust drive belt deflection
  • Brake fluid inspection & level, inspect hoses, pads/shoes %
  • Check ski alignment; adjust toe in / toe out
  • Check handlebars & controls
  • Check/replace carbides
  • Grease all suspension points
  • Check all nuts and bolts; safety inspection
  • Check/adjust track tension & alignment
  • Check/replace hyfax (0.75 hrs extra for R&R)
  • Inspect idler wheels
  • Inspect/replace studs
  • Coolant level & condition; hose clamps & condition
  • Fan operation; check for leaks
  • Throttle freeplay; idle speed
  • Fuel valve & choke operation
  • Lube all cables; check for leaks or contamination
  • Sync carbs
  • Controls & switches; headlight aim
  • Taillight / brake light / accessory lights
  • Service battery; charging system test (VDC)
  • Final test run – throttle, clutch, suspension, steering, handling

4-Stroke Pre-Season Service

  • Replace engine oil & filter
  • Replace spark plugs
  • Replace chaincase fluid
  • Compression test (where applicable)
  • Adjust drive chain; lubricate reverse linkage
  • Check & lubricate recoil rope (if equipped)
  • Check clutch operation; clean & scuff clutches
  • Adjust drive belt deflection
  • Brake fluid inspection & level, inspect hoses, pads/shoes %
